What would happen if all the people in the world came to RI and jumped simultaneously?
Well, granted that people figured out what and where Rhode Island was, this jump would be pretty epic.

mass of earth: 5.972 x 10^24 kg
Since the earth itself is so much larger in comparison, we do not directly affect it by our jump and landing. Contrary to the assumption, we harm our society more than the earth's surface.
The sonic energy released into the air overloads our technology, including plane flights from TF Green Airport.

Basically, it's a cool idea but it would wreak havoc on our current technology. Humans evidently are quite capable of self destruction with little effect on the overall universe.
