Snow Day Fort

After the snowstorm, the driveway was shoveled and plowed. While I was trying to figure out how to build the snow fort, I realized that the result of shoveling and plowing the driveway was a massive mound of snow that was approximately about 4.5 feet.

I decided that it would be safe to have a ceiling that was approximately a foot thick, so I placed a stick through the top as an indication as how high to shovel. As a result, the ceiling did not collapse.

Due to the really cold temperatures over the past few days, one of the concerns was that the snow would become hard. Luckily, the snow was relatively very easy to shovel because it was really soft.

I continued to dig through the mound until it was sufficient enough to hold one person.

My brother went into the den and proved that it was sufficient enough to protect against the elements and to keep warm in there.
