How High can Willie Girl the Snow Dog Jump?

I decided to take a video of my dog outside for my blog.  She loves to play in the snow and be on video so I figured it would be a great idea.  She is not actually a snow dog nor a show dog but she was supposed to be a show dog!  However, she was born with crooked teeth so she did not make the cut.  But, she is still good at tricks so I took her outside and had her jump over a stick in her reindeer costume!

After a few tries and finally getting a successful video I inserted my video into Logger Pro to create a table and graph of Willie Girl's acceleration as she jumped over the stick.  It was really interesting to see this video in slow motion as I marked the points for the graph data.  I was able to see how she extended herself and was able to get over the structure that was in her way.  

After viewing the results from Logger Pro I took the information I received and applied physics to Willie Girl's jump.  I wanted to calculate how high Willie Girl was able to jump.  When I was reviewing the video I took a screenshot to see the point where Willie Girl was the highest off the ground.

From my results I saw that Willie Girl began to jump at 1.43 seconds into the video.  As time went on, Willie Girl's velocity increased at a steady rate until about 1.67 seconds.  For that time in between Willie Girl's velocity was increasing and she was getting high off the ground and moving in a forward positive direction.  At Willie Girl's highest height off of the ground, her velocity had gone down to 10.198 m/s.  This is because she was at her highest point and her acceleration was about to become negative because she was falling back down to the ground.  With the information I had I wanted to calculate what exactly Willie Girl's maximum height was.  

After doing the math out, I found that Willie Girl's approximate maximum height was 15.25 meters.  This makes sense based on the video and based on how tall Willie Girl is herself.  It was pretty cool to see how high my dog could jump in the snow.  It may be interesting to see if the results could have changed if I had taken her costume off or if I made the stick higher.  I would definitely do more physics with my dog but I am not sure she would feel the same.  She was pretty pooped after we finished but of course I gave her a few treats so she was still happy.
